This anthology issue presents dream-based stories that explore the hidden meanings of nocturnal visions. One story follows Miss Beck, who consults a dream analyst to interpret her recurring dreams, only to discover that the symbolic images—including wild flowers, a lion, stairs, and a coffin—represent her subconscious desire for a happy marriage and adventurous future. Another story recounts a young man named Driscoll who is haunted by a recurring dream of a car crash that turns out to have been a premonition; his father reveals the dream symbolized Driscoll's internal conflict between obedience and independence, resolved through their reconciliation. A third story, "Vision of Doom," tells of Helen Lang, a woman aboard an interstate bus in 1941 who experiences a prophetic nightmare of a train crash that actually occurs, killing twenty-two people, though Helen mysteriously survives.
