“The Worm Turns”

In "The Worm Turns," surgeon Gustave Savage is kidnapped by the hypnotist Merlin, leading to a violent confrontation that leaves the doctor blinded—only to reclaim his sight through a shocking act of desperation. With Merlin dead, Savage uses the hypnotist’s eyes in a desperate bid to see again, unaware that the gift comes with a deadly curse. Steve Ditko’s stark, expressive art brings the eerie, suspenseful tale to life, making this 1954 Charlton classic a standout in early horror comics.
