The Transformers #35
In "Child's Play," the Protectobots escort their prisoner Blaster back to the Ark when they're ambushed by the Combaticons, who merge into the colossal Bruticus. Forced to respond in kind, the Protectobots combine into the mighty Defensor, but it's the ingenuity of four kids—aided by Blaster—that turns the tide. After Blaster rewards them with a ride in Blast Off's shuttle, their joy is cut short when the Autobot Ark suddenly attacks. Written by Bob Budiansky and illustrated by Don Perlin, with inks by Ian Akin and Brian Garvey, and colors by Nel Yomtov, this 1987 Marvel Transformers classic features a dynamic cover by Frank Springer and Ian Akin.
