The Uncanny X-Men #351
In "Hours & Minutes," Cecilia Reyes steps away from the X-Men to focus on her work at the hospital—only to find that her mutant identity has made her a target of prejudice. When Pyro arrives under suspicious circumstances and she’s forced to treat him, her career takes a sudden turn, leading her back to the X-Mansion. Written by Steve Seagle and illustrated by Ed Benes, with a striking cover by Joe Madureira, this 1998 issue explores the quiet tension between personal identity and public perception.
