The Weapon #1
The Weapon #1 introduces Thomas Zhou, a brilliant inventor whose holographic weapon system draws inspiration from the legendary Shan-Tao order, showcased at a Hawaiian tech expo. When he secures a wealthy backer, both are suddenly attacked by showgirls wielding deadly weapons who scream that they’ll kill all the sons of the Shan-Tao order. With his grandfather’s stories now seeming all too real, Thomas must unravel the truth behind the myth before he becomes its next victim. Written by Fred Van Lente and illustrated by Scott Koblish, with colors by Paul Mounts and letters by Troy Peteri, this first issue blends high-tech intrigue with ancient mystery—its cover by Scott Koblish captures the tension perfectly.
