There's something wonderfully primal about Esad Ribić's cover for this 2014 issue — a lone, long-haired warrior grips what appears to be Mjolnir and faces down an enormous, snarling green creature whose gaping maw and horned brow dwarf everything in sight. The sheer scale of the confrontation, with the figure standing resolute against an opponent that fills the sky, sets a fittingly epic tone for a story subtitled "Days of Wine and Dragons." Das Pastoras handles the full interior art, bringing a distinctive painted sensibility to Jason Aaron's run on the Thunder God.
