Tim Corrigan's Superhero Comics #7
In "The Debris," Roger Wilson, a detective haunted by a string of unsolved murders, steps into the shadows as his alter ego, Elasticworm, to confront a threat that defies reason. Written by Karl Kesel and illustrated by Tim Corrigan—whose distinctive art and inks define the issue's eerie, grounded tone—this 1976 tale blends noir investigation with a creeping supernatural dread. When a mysterious book on wereworms leads Wilson to Jonathan Crawler, the line between myth and madness blurs, culminating in a showdown that hinges on a single, shattering reflection.

Roger Wilson and his partner investigate a series of grisly murders. When their efforts prove futile, Roger uses his alter ego, Elasticworm, to stop the killer. Elasticworm encounters something in night that puts him in the hospital. On a hunch, Wilson investigates occult connections to the culprit, which leads him to Jonathan Crawler who recently purchased a book on wereworms. Crawler lets Wilson study the book and invites him to dinner. As they dine, Crawler is revealed as the wereworm. Wilson changes into Elasticworm and defeats the wereworm when he leaps into a silver mirror that shatters.
