“Time Loves a Hero”

In "Time Loves a Hero," the Time Masters face their most personal trials yet as Antonia reunites with her sister and returns home, while Cave and Jeff make their way back from a perilous journey through Atlantis. Bonnie ventures into a ravaged future shaped by nuclear war, choosing to stay with a resilient group known as the Illuminati who are rebuilding civilization. Meanwhile, Rip confronts a figure he believes to be Vandal Savage in the prehistoric past—only to learn that his son, Vandar Adg, will now carry on the legacy, forcing Rip to reconsider whether change is possible, or if true transformation begins within. Written by Bob Wayne and Lewis Shiner, with art by Art Thibert and cover by Art Thibert, this 1990 issue blends time-travel stakes with intimate character reckonings.
