# Voodoo #8 Synopsis This issue contains two supernatural tales. "Ghostly Guillotine" follows a man tormented by a mechanical toy and a miniature guillotine that inexplicably appear in his home; he eventually discovers that placing a small effigy in the toy's chest causes the guillotine to activate, and he uses this cursed object to eliminate an "old peddler" who symbolizes evil. "Blood Revenge" tells of a blind woman named Dorinda and the sorcerer Grune, who loves her and schemes to make her his bride by using voodoo magic; when a rival suitor named Geoffrey interferes, Grune uses his supernatural powers to kill Geoffrey, and Dorinda accepts Grune as her husband as the story ends with a sense of dark inevitability.
