In "Letter to Santa," Donald Duck scrambles to deliver the nephews' Christmas wish— a steamshovel— after realizing he never mailed their letter. With help from Uncle Scrooge, who reluctantly funds the gift, Donald finds himself caught in a holiday showdown when Scrooge buys his own steamshovel to steal the spotlight. As the two clash in their machines, they’re forced to devise a clever ruse to keep the nephews happy— leading to a disguise that’ll test Donald’s nerves and holiday spirit.

In "The Thrifty Spendthrift," Donald Duck’s misguided attempt to turn Scrooge into a generous uncle backfires spectacularly when a hypnotic ray misfires, projecting a slide of a dog instead of Donald. The result? Scrooge, usually tight with his money, impulsively buys every gift from the song "The Twelve Days of Christmas" for the dog—much to the shock of Huey, Dewey, and Louie, and the bemusement of the Duchess of Duckshire.
