Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #624
In "Their Loaded Forebear," Carl Barks delivers a delightfully chaotic tale as Gyro Gearloose finds himself roped into a bizarre royal challenge: taming a wild bear to earn the title "King of Luck" from the Royal Order of Horeshoe Kids. With his usual mix of reluctant enthusiasm and inventive genius, Gyro devises a repellent to keep the bear at bay—only to find the situation spirals in ways he never expected. The story, illustrated with Barks’ signature precision and brought to life with Summer Hinton’s vibrant colors, captures the classic charm of the Duck universe, all framed by Daan Jippes’ playful cover art.
