“The Billion Dollar Safari”

In "The Billion Dollar Safari," Scrooge McDuck launches a wild quest for a speckled elephant with a square trunk, offering a billion dollars to anyone who can deliver one—just as Gladstone Gander stumbles into the jungles of Jumbostan, where the local elephant girls paint their pachyderms for show. With his trademark luck, Gladstone finds himself in the middle of a mystery that’s as much about the jungle’s secrets as it is about the real prize. Written, drawn, and inked by Carl Barks, this classic tale features a cover also by Barks, capturing the adventure’s whimsical spirit in vivid detail.
