Scrooge has bought a life-size jade elephant that has been shipped in a crate from the war-torn kingdom of Unsteadystan, but only the elephant's tail is in the crate, along with a peasant boy named Soy Bheen. A note from Marco Polo in the elephant's tail tells of a treasure map in the elephant's trunk, and the ducks and Soy Bheen go to Unsteadystan, where the elephant is being used by the rebel leader, Wahn Beeg Rhat, as a sort of totem.
