This issue contains two stories. In the main Wambi story, the jungle boy and his animal friends, including a great ape and a leopard, must defend their home when a hunter named Bwana and his hired "killer-demons"—pygmies armed with poisoned arrows—invade the jungle. The Singhali village is attacked, but Wambi's victory chants inspire the pygmy band to turn against their employer. In "King of the Congo," adventurers flying over the jungle seek to solve the mystery of missing sacred beasts and a rare white elephant calf, using clues visible from a distant outpost and pursuing a herd to investigate further.
