Wambi, Jungle Boy

In the early 1940s, Fiction House launched Wambi, Jungle Boy, a Tarzan-inspired adventure series that ran for 18 issues. The title, most often written by Roy L. Smith and illustrated by Henry Kiefer, Maurice Whitman, and Alex Blum, followed a white youth raised in the African jungle. It stands as a classic example of the jungle-adventure genre that flourished during the Golden Age of comics.
