This is an anthology featuring several science fiction and supernatural stories. "The Menace of R Day" by Ross Andry depicts a dystopian 1959 where a tyrannical dictator threatens a unified Earth until scientists discover that massive earthquakes are caused by a giant monster worm burrowing toward the surface, prompting a desperate military effort to destroy it. "Terror from the Depths" follows seismologist Dr. Marsden and his team as they investigate mysterious earthquakes and theorize that a giant corkscrew-like monster worm is twisting its way up through the earth's interior, eventually discovering evidence of a mile-wide creature with enormous jaws appearing in the African plains. The anthology also includes additional stories such as a ghost-hunting adventure involving investigators tracking a television beam phenomenon connected to a haunted shack outside the city.
