When the Unhappy Giant appears with an upside-down cup and a saucer, the girls and a flock of bluebirds find themselves trapped in a strange, sudden adventure. With Foggy the bluebird offering unexpected help, the search for answers takes a turn neither the girls nor the giant expected.

In "Giant Blues," the Unhappy Giant tries to cheer up his daughter by giving her a mysterious cup—unaware it contains three Blue Birds: Barbara, Suzy, and Evelyn. As the trio befriends the girl, her laughter begins to lift the Giant’s spirits, while Foggy the bluebird guides Wendy and Casper to the heart of the mystery.

When Wendy ventures to the Unhappy Giant’s house to rescue the three Blue Birds—Barbara, Suzy, and Evelyn—she quickly learns that brute strength isn’t the answer. With help from the giant’s surprisingly kind daughter, Jenny, and a clever plan with Casper, the girls find a way to return home. But not before the giant’s gruff exterior softens a little.
