Western Hero #100

This issue is an anthology featuring multiple Western stories. "Oh! Doctor!" depicts Gabby Hayes attempting to ride an ornery bronco that continually throws him, despite his reputation as the fearless foreman who cannot be bucked off. A longer text story, "The Killer of Nugget Creek," follows Slim Carson as he pursues jewel smugglers across the Mexican border; after being shot and captured by outlaws, Slim discovers that his guide Carrido had been hired to help smuggle stolen gems, and ultimately uses a burro to locate the hidden jewels and apprehend the entire gang.
