Western Hero #104

This issue features multiple Western stories. "The False Surrender!" depicts Tom Mix and a companion involved in an underwater struggle and later a confrontation with masked outlaws over a map to Gold Rush Jones's buried treasure, which the criminals plan to retrieve. A separate story titled "Monte Hale and the Town Hero" recounts the legend of Petesville, named after prospector Panhandle Pete, with Monte Hale arriving in town and becoming involved in a shootout near a statue of the town's founder.
