“Mad Weather in Metropolis!”

In "Mad Weather in Metropolis!", Lois Lane’s prankster streak takes a meteorological turn when she’s demoted to the weather report, turning forecasts into wild, unpredictable predictions—only to find her antics accidentally summon real chaos. Meanwhile, a pair of crooks exploit a G.I. loan to force a sporting goods store owner into buying out-of-season gear, threatening his wife. Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster deliver a playful, clever tale where Superman steps in to untangle both messes, making Lois’ wild weather predictions come true in the most literal way. The cover by Jack Burnley and Charles Paris captures the whimsical storm of the moment.

Lois gets demoted to doing the weather reports for the Planet, so she deliberately makes them as weird as possible, hoping to get fired. At the same time, small time hoods have forced a sporting goods retailer, whose wife they have kidnapped, to buy out-of-season mechandise on his G.I. loan, threatening to take the money and scram. But Superman steps in and helps solve the problems of both Lois and the retailer at the same time by making Lois' weird predictions come true.
