World's Finest Comics #39
In "The Fatal Forecasts!", Boy Commando Brooklyn finds himself in a high-stakes radio quiz show adventure, where winning means drinking Malto-Fizzo every half-hour and earning a trip to South America—only to become an unwitting pawn in a diamond-smuggling scheme. With Rip’s quick thinking and a cleverly swapped camera, the boys outwit Napoleon Biggers in a tense showdown that turns a simple prize into a thrilling caper. Written by Ed Herron and brought to life with crisp art by Carmine Infantino and inks by Steve Brodie, this 1949 classic features a cover by Win Mortimer that captures the story’s playful suspense.
