X-Men / Fantastic Four #1
In "Chapter One: First Contact," the Fantastic Four arrive at the X-Mansion seeking help after a catastrophic explosion at an orbital space station retrieving a Mars lander. Tensions flare when Wolverine and the Thing clash, forcing Emma Frost to mediate—only to unite the teams for a daring rescue mission aboard the Blackbird. Arriving at the station, they discover it’s not abandoned, but teeming with the alien Brood. Written by Akira Yoshida and illustrated by Pat Lee, Edwin Garcia, and Nick Kilislian, with colors by Alan Wang, Ramil Sunga, and Stu Ng, and letters by Dave Sharpe, the cover by Pat Lee and Edwin Garcia captures the moment of uneasy alliance.
