“Rise, Robot, Rise Part 2”

In "Rise, Robot, Rise Part 2," the X-Men face off against the Lava Men with their new ally, Machine Man, as tensions rise both in the field and back at the lab. When Dr. Stack receives a warning that the other Machine Man units have gone rogue, the team scrambles to respond—only to lose Aaron in the lava, leaving behind only his brain to rebuild him as Machine Man number X-51. Roger Cruz handles both pencils and inks for the interior art, with Val Staples on colors and Nate Piekos on letters, while Cruz also delivers the cover.

The X-Men and their new member, Machine Man, battle the Lava Men. During the fracas, Dr. Stack gets a message that the other Machine Man robots have gone crazy back at the lab. Xavier tips off his X-Men to the problem but they are unable to keep Aaron from diving into the Lava Men in their natural element and melting away. They save the brain and Dr. Stack begins using it to construct Machine Man number X-51.
