X-Men: Legacy #214
In X-Men: Legacy #214, Professor X faces a terrifying mental duel with Mr. Sinister, who seeks to possess his mind and body, while Dr. Mueller attempts to eliminate Sinister by any means necessary—her own motives tied to youth and power. As Shaw and Gambit fight their way through deadly traps, they dismantle Sinister’s machines, and Professor X ultimately drives Sinister from his mind, leaving his fate uncertain. In the aftermath, Shaw shares a quiet moment with a mysterious young woman—her alabaster skin and red diamond mark unmistakable—when she declines the title of Black Queen and instead claims a new name: Miss Sinister. Written by Mike Carey and illustrated by Scot Eaton and Ken Lashley, with inks by Andrew Hennessy and Paul Neary, colors by Frank D'Armata and Edgar Delgado, and letters by Cory Petit, the issue’s striking cover by Alan Davis captures the tension and mystery of the moment.

Professor X mentally battles Mr. Sinister who is trying to take over his mind and body while Dr. Mueller tries to kill them both so she can trap Mr. Sinister and use his powers to make her look young. Shaw and Gambit escape Dr. Mueller's traps and destroy Sinister's machines and Professor X drives Sinister out, apparently killing him. All involved go their separate ways. Later, Shaw is shown having tea with a young woman, telling her she will be his new Black Queen. She declines the name and as we see her alabaster skin and the red diamond on her forehead she names herself "Miss Sinister".
