When Rachel discovers another victim of Séléné’s, her anger spills over—pushing Serval into the path of an oncoming subway train, only for Kitty to save him at the last moment. As the X-Men and the Club des Damnés race to stop Phoenix, Nemrod stands in their way, blocking their path. Written by Chris Claremont and illustrated by John Romita Jr. with Dan Green on inks and Glynis Oliver on colors, this 1988 issue features a striking cover by Ciro Tota.
