When Hagga and his ally Tombo hunt in the jungle, Rulah uses her wits and jungle animals to defeat them; Hagga is killed by a bamboo spike to the back, and Tombo is pursued by a great ape. The story concludes with Rulah's justice served as Tombo is hunted through the jungle, with white captives rescued from Hagga's evil scheme.
