Adventures in Romance
St. John · 1949–1950 · 2 issues
About the series
Leonard Starr, a rising talent of the era, wrote and drew both issues of this short-lived St. John romance comic, with Warren King contributing art as well. Published at the dawn of the 1950s, Adventures in Romance offered a compact but polished example of the postwar romance genre, distinguished by Starr's clean, expressive storytelling. Though it ran for only two issues, it stands as a tidy, professional snapshot of the romance comics boom and Starr's early craftsmanship.
