Cave Kids
Western · 1963–1967 · 16 issues
About the series
From 1963 to 1967, Western Publishing's Cave Kids gave readers a playful, prehistoric world across sixteen issues, following the adventures of a group of stone-age children. Most frequently written by Del Connell and illustrated by a team including Phil De Lara, Harvey Eisenberg, and Pete Alvarado, the series offered lighthearted, family-friendly fun in the tradition of the publisher's beloved animated-character comics. While not as famous as some of its contemporaries, it stands as a charming example of Western's mid-century output, blending slapstick humor with a caveman setting that appealed to young readers.
