Dracula Lives

Marvel’s Dracula Lives (1973–1975) was a black-and-white horror magazine that expanded on the studio’s gothic universe, with Roy Thomas as its most frequent writer and Bob Hall, Don Maitz, and Ernie Chua as regular artists. Across its 13 issues, the series dug into Dracula’s mythos—featuring Jonathan Harker, Mina Murray, and Dracula’s daughter Lilith—alongside original characters like Maria Dracula and Enikõ Lupescu. It mattered as a key part of Marvel’s 1970s horror boom, offering a moodier, more adult take on the Count than the color comics of the era.
