Kid Cowboy
St. John · 1953–1955 · 3 issues
About the series
St. John Publishing's Kid Cowboy ran for three issues in the mid-1950s, a short-lived but charming Western comic headlined by the youthful Clint Harper. Artist Al Carreño anchored the series, bringing visual life to the adventures of Harper and the musical gunslinger known as The Singing Cowboy. This title offers a snapshot of the era's fondness for cowboy heroes and the kid-appeal spin publishers often put on the genre.
