Ms. Marvel

Marvel launched Ms. Marvel in 1977, giving Carol Danvers her own spotlight after years as a supporting character. Written primarily by Chris Claremont, Gerry Conway, and Archie Goodwin, with art from Jim Mooney, Joe Sinnott, and Sal Buscema, the series followed Carol’s double life as a magazine editor and a super-powered heroine, often clashing with threats tied to her Kree origins. Over its 23-issue run, the title introduced a supporting cast including Frank Gianelli and Salia Petrie, and occasionally crossed paths with J. Jonah Jameson and Mar-Vell. Though short-lived, it established Carol Danvers as a major Marvel character, paving the way for her enduring legacy.
