Super Mag

Young World Publications’ Super Mag (1964–1965) was a short-lived, 32-issue comic series that blended photo covers and painted interiors with storytelling from frequent writers Carl Barks, Roberta Leighton, and Vic Lockman, alongside the signed art of R. Paul Hoye. Though brief, it stands as a curious mid-60s experiment in visual variety, mixing Barks’s famed narrative touch with an unusual photographic aesthetic.
