About the series
In the late 1960s, Danish publisher Interpresse and French publisher Sagédition teamed up to produce Superman et Batman, a 16-issue series collecting Silver Age adventures of the World's Finest duo for a European audience. Drawing on scripts from iconic writers like Bill Finger and Edmond Hamilton, with art by such DC stalwarts as Curt Swan and Sheldon Moldoff, the series spotlighted the crime-fighting partnership of Batman and Superman. Alongside their alter egos Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent, the stories featured supporting players like Commissaire James Gordon, Dick Grayson, and Jimmy Olsen. This co-published run offered Continental readers a curated introduction to the classic, team-up dynamic of two of comics' greatest heroes.
