The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers

From 1971 to 2003, Rip Off Press published The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers, a landmark underground comix series by Gilbert Shelton and Paul Mavrides. Following the misadventures of three perpetually stoned hippies—Fat Freddy Freekowtski, Freewheelin' Franklin Freek, and Phineas T. Freakers—along with Fat Freddy's Cat, the strip satirized counterculture life, authority, and the absurdities of the era over 13 issues.
