“The Idiots Abroad Part 2”

In "The Idiots Abroad Part 2," Fat Freddy’s chaotic journey takes him across Europe—from London to Moscow—while evading Andre the Hyena, all while chasing his next meal. Months later, the emaciated former star of the road reappears in an African port town, where he’s sold into slavery and reunited with the now-enslaved Freewheelin’ Franklin. The duo’s fortunes shift when the eccentric Phineas arrives, buying them to drive his bizarre human-powered car. Written by Gilbert Shelton and Paul Mavrides, with art and inks by both, and colored by Guy Colwell and Paul Mavrides, this 1985 Rip Off Press classic features a cover by Shelton and Mavrides that captures the absurdity of the trip.
