About the series
Weird Fantasy was a short-lived but influential science-fiction anthology from EC Comics, running five issues from 1950 to 1951. Under the editorial guidance of Bill Gaines and Al Feldstein, and with a stable of artists including Harvey Kurtzman, Jack Kamen, and Wally Wood, the series delivered twist-filled, often ironic tales of space travel, alien encounters, and futuristic technology. Its sophisticated storytelling and striking artwork helped set a new standard for the genre, paving the way for EC's later, more famous titles like Weird Science.
