Devin Grayson
Devin Kalile Grayson is an American comic book writer and novelist whose work spans roughly two and a half decades in the industry. Best known for her extensive run on DC Comics' *Nightwing*, she established herself as one of the more prominent writers working with Batman's extended family of characters during the late 1990s and 2000s. Her catalog credits reflect a sustained engagement with ensemble and street-level superhero storytelling, encompassing titles such as *Batman: Gotham Knights*, *The Titans*, and *Catwoman*, alongside Marvel work including *X-Men: Evolution* and *Ghost Rider*.
Grayson entered comics professionally around 1997 and over the following years built a reputation for character-driven narratives, particularly with figures who operate in moral and emotional gray areas. Her tenure on *Nightwing* — following Dick Grayson, the original Robin, as an independent hero — remains the work most closely associated with her name, and she brought notable psychological depth to that character's ongoing series. Beyond capes and cowls, she has also worked in prose fiction. Active across 184 credited issues through at least 2021, her body of work reflects a consistent interest in the interpersonal dynamics and inner lives of superhero characters rather than spectacle alone.
