Peter Dudley falls in love with Mera and had Dr. Ludorf perform an operation to change Dudley into a double of Aquaman, but the procedure goes wrong and Dudley becomes an "Aquabeast". Aquabeast kidnaps Mera and eventually sacrifices his life to save her from Hammuri.
