The Defenders hold off the Wayfinder until the Red Raven can use Sky Island to force them back into their home dimension and seal off the rift. The Defenders then go to help Sub-Mariner win his throne back but are again snatched away by the Curse when Hell-Eyes threatens the earth. They decide to search out the Silver Surfer for assistance before they again try to help Sub-Mariner win back his throne.
