Defenders #8
In "Day of the Great Ones," Dr. Strange, the Hulk, and the Sub-Mariner race to rescue the Silver Surfer, only to be captured themselves and forced to power a Kree weapon. Written by Kurt Busiek, Erik Larsen, and Eric Stephenson, with art by Ron Frenz and inks by Al Vey, this 2001 Defenders issue blends high-stakes action with a shocking twist, all wrapped in a cover by Erik Larsen and Al Vey.
