In "Brevet til julenissen," Donald Duck accidentally leaves the nephews’ letter to Santa Claus unmailed until Christmas Eve, only to discover they’ve asked for a steamshovel. Rushing to make up for it, he borrows money from Uncle Scrooge, who, jealous that Santa—not he—will be thanked for the gift, buys his own steamshovel to give the boys. The two end up in a chaotic duel with their machines, destroying both. To save the day, Donald disguises himself as Santa Claus to deliver the news that steamshovels are out of stock.
