Enginehead builds a machine out of the remains of Leadbelly. The Metal Men fail to stop Enginehead so the Justice League of America is brought in. They are able to stop Enginehead, but Roy Lincoln, the Human Bomb, arrives and tries to kill Enginehead for ending the life of his wife, Mary. Roy's explosion is the spark that brings the new city of Irontown to life. Arturo Lapaglia's mistress and the others who were drawn to Leadbelly realize that they have a new home in Irontown.
