Film Fun #1517 is a British anthology comic featuring three illustrated humorous stories. "Riding for a Fall!" depicts Olly and Stan's misadventures involving a donkey, borrowed jewelry, and eggs, culminating in a chase sequence. "Frank Randle: Famous Star of Butchers Films" follows the titular character's attempts to sell or dispose of counterfeit banknotes left by his Uncle Joe, leading to various comedic disasters including encounters with burglars and a near-drowning. "House of Thrills" presents a dramatic narrative about an English mountain guide named Arthur Waldron who becomes entangled in a rescue mission involving his cousin Ronald and a criminal scheme in the Swiss Alps. "Joe E. Brown, The Famous Fellow of The Gag" concludes the issue with Joe and his companions building a snowman and inadvertently involving Uncle Ebenezer in winter-based slapstick and a frozen river accident.
