☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis is an anthology issue containing at least two stories. The lead story, "Hawaii, Here We Come," features Goofy Gander and a short man (likely a ship's captain or sailor) heading to Hawaii on a surfboard and boat, with comic mishaps including encounters with fish and anchors in the water. The second story, "The Jungle Fire Department," by Jannie Drake, follows Peter Pelican, who wants to join the jungle fire department despite being a bird; when a jungle fire breaks out, Peter and his animal friends Leo Lion, Ernie Elephant, and George Giraffe establish their own makeshift fire department using their natural abilities to fight the blaze. A third story features Uncle Buddy teaching young mice to share a tricycle, which leads to chaos and fighting over the toy before Uncle Buddy reminds them they must play together peacefully.
Goofy Gander and Wally Wolf stow away on a ship bound for Hawaii, hoping to escape their mundane lives and experience tropical adventure—only to find themselves tangled in a web of mistaken identity, frantic chases, and unexpected danger. After narrowly avoiding capture, they end up in a remote cove where they’re mistaken for performers, leading to a chaotic escape involving a volcano, a hollow tree, and a hidden diamond in a stolen tie.
Wally Wolf, desperate to escape city life, convinces Goofy Gander to lend him $20, promising to double it by exploiting a supposedly indestructible watch. As Wally's increasingly absurd schemes to break the watch fail one after another, Goofy remains cheerfully oblivious—until a sneeze accidentally destroys the very watch Wally counted on to make them rich.
Buddy Bear arrives home to find his sister’s triplets fighting over a tricycle he bought to keep them quiet. Though he warns them not to fight, the kids quickly turn the tricycle into a tug-of-war, each claiming it as their own. Buddy Bear watches in disbelief as they finally settle into sharing—only to realize the tricycle is now missing.
Stuffy Pig stumbles into the Jangling Bros. Circus, where he’s mistaken for a clown after a series of mishaps involving a squirt gun and gum drops. As the circus prepares for the entrance parade, his accidental antics lead to an unexpected job offer—much to the surprise of the other performers.
