# Gunsmoke #3 This issue contains two stories. In the first, Gunsmoke and his team face off against a rival gang led by Matt and Pedro for control of Oreville, with the two factions clashing violently as Gunsmoke's crew fights for their homes and survival while Matt's men fight merely for pay. In the second story, a bandit named Ringo steals a gold shipment bound for Virginia City; when the Masked Marvel becomes involved and Ringo is shot, the Marvel pursues him to track down the stolen gold, eventually discovering Ringo's hideout near Mesa City where a mysterious figure named Faro controls the operation.
