In the quiet town of Twin River, Sheriff Hopalong Cassidy investigates a series of safe break-ins at the Bar Triple X Ranch, suspecting an inside job after the safe is emptied and muddy boot prints appear. When a young cowhand, Danny Thompson, is framed for the murder of ranch owner J. Briggs, Hopalong must uncover the real culprit before a mob lynches the innocent man.
