# Hopalong Cassidy #35 The main story, "Gunning for the Spider," follows Sheriff Hopalong Cassidy as he confronts the criminal Spider Black, a treacherous and dangerous outlaw who sends a booby-trapped package to the town. When a young man named Wilcott receives the parcel and opens it, a spring-loaded device sprays acid on him, causing severe burns. Cassidy must track down Spider Black and deal with his associate Danny while protecting the townspeople from the Spider's schemes. The issue also includes a backup feature titled "Ronnie and Johnnie," a humorous story about two boys.
