This issue features all-new Humphrey stories drawn by Elmer Hader for Consolidated Press. The first story, "Humphrey Discovers a Comet," follows Humphrey Pennyworth as he encounters an observatory where he is mistaken for a skilled mechanic and helps repair a jammed telescope for a professor who needs it urgently for an observation. Another story, "Humphrey's Fun Pageant," presents a card trick that Humphrey learns from his friend Knobby and demonstrates to a woman named Pruney, involving the clever sleight-of-hand placement of cards in the deck. The issue also includes a Bubble Bubble Gum advertisement and a Delta Sealed Beam bicycle headlight advertisement promoting safety equipment for young riders.
