JLA: The Nail #2

Sep 1998 · DC · 4.95 USD; 6.95 CAD
“The Nail, Book Two of Three”

In "The Nail, Book Two of Three," Alan Davis delivers a tightly wound chapter of intrigue as the JLA fractures under the weight of rising anti-alien sentiment. While Batman recovers from Arkham, the team scatters—Lois Lane follows a cryptic lead to a Kansas research facility, the Outsiders probe a mysterious Arctic fortress, and Martian Manhunter infiltrates Lexcorp, uncovering that Lex is being manipulated by a hidden force. With Alan Davis handling both art and writing, and Mark Farmer’s inks lending sharp precision to the cover by Davis and Farmer, this 1998 issue deepens the mystery with quiet menace and layered suspense.

As Batman recovers from the events at Arkham, the rest of the JLA looks for the source of the anti-alien hysteria. Meanwhile the Outsiders investigate a fortress in the Arctic and Lois visits a research facility detaining meta-humans, where she receives an important clue leading her to Smallville, Kansas. And Martian Manhunter goes undercover at Lexcorp and finds that Lex is not the mastermind of the anti-alien plot, but just the pawn of someone else.
