Justice League of America: The Nail The Complete Deluxe Edition #[nn]
"The Nail, Book One" marks a pivotal moment in the Justice League of America saga, with Alan Davis delivering a tightly wound narrative that redefines the team's battle against Lex Luthor's engineered threat. As Wonder Woman and Hawkwoman fall to Luthor's Liberators, Green Lantern's ring uncovers a shocking truth: the attackers are not machines, but cloned Kryptonian replicants—each a piece of a larger, more personal puzzle. With Alan Davis handling both art and cover, and Mark Farmer's inks lending sharp precision to every panel, this deluxe edition captures a story where identity, legacy, and the cost of power collide in Smallville, where Jimmy’s fate hangs in the balance.

Wonder Woman and Hawkwoman are subdued by Luthor's Liberators, but Green Lantern’s ring reveals that they are not robots, but cloned Kryptonian replicants. While the JLAers release their compatriots, Lois discovers that Luthor found Kal-El's ship and traces of his DNA from which he created the Liberators. In Smallville, Jimmy, who has been grafted with Kryptonian DNA, joins the Liberators in the fight with the JLA. When a mysterious Amish man tries to stop the fight, Jimmy incinerates his parents. The Amish man and Jimmy fight until Jimmy's Kryptonian DNA graft fails and he crumbles to dust.
