Jughead's Double Digest #198
In "Knees Freeze!", Bingo sets a wildly ambitious goal: win over Mr. Smythe’s affection by day’s end, no matter the cost. With his usual mix of stubborn determination and comic missteps, he ignores Samantha’s feelings entirely, convinced that winning Mr. Smythe’s approval is the ultimate prize. Written by Frank Doyle and brought to life with classic flair by Dan DeCarlo, Jim DeCarlo, Barry Grossman, and Bill Yoshida, this Double Digest tale captures the charm and chaos of Archie’s small-town antics. The cover by Bill Galvan and Bob Smith perfectly captures the moment’s high-stakes silliness.

Bingo vows that by the end of the day Mr. Smythe will love him like a son. Filled with typical Wilkin stubbornness and stick-to-itiveness, he spends the entire day ignoring Samantha and trying to make her father like him. By the end of the day, Mr. Smythe loves him and Samantha dumps him.
